Since my sisters are off today, we decided to get breakfast. There is an amazing cafe called Gayle’s Bakery & Rosticceria, located in Capitola CA. They serve traditional American food and staffs are helpful and welcoming. This place is usually busy so finding a parking spot is hard, better to come early.
The first thing you have to do is to get a ticket, inside is kind of hectic so be prepared. It’s nice to find what you want to order while waiting for being called. There so many food, sandwiches, salads, grills, soups and pastries. Today, we got chicken salad croissant, bbq sandwich, devil eggs, mac’n cheese, potato salad and beef soup. Its hard to make a decision which one to get because they all delicious!
My favorite is chicken salad croissant. It has good bite size of tender chicken and it mixed with pieces of celery, which gives a good accent for the taste. Croissant is fresh and soft, perfect balance with chicken. Beef soup is mixed with a lot vegetables and rice, great smell. I think rice gives little thickness to the soup. This is a perfect soup for winter.
There is a heater above our table and a fireplace in this area. It’s so warm and cozy. I like how bright this place is 🙂
